Here are a few of the most expensive Secondary schools/colleges in Lagos. In this article we see some of the prevailing elements that make-up the huge sums a potential student must pay in order to consider himself accepted.

Apart from receiving expensive world-class education from seasoned professionals, there are other incentives to being an Ivy League student in Nigeria. Other facilities include; fully air-conditioned class rooms, internet-connected desktop computers, well equipped laboratories and theatre room.


The British International School located at Landbridge Avenue, Oniru Private Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos State, Nigeria, is a multi-national co-educational English medium school established in September 2001 by the British.

It boasts of a multi-purpose hall, music suites, theatre, computer suites, science suites, tutorial rooms, swimming pool and many more.

If you want to enjoy all the boarding facilities in British International School, student has to pay as much as $26,750 + NGN200,000.00 which includes additional charges. Parents pay their children/ward tuition fees in dollars but when exchange it to Nigeria currency, each student pays about N4,480,000.00 per year. The fees take care of their feeding, textbooks & uniforms


And here comes the school whose fees is the most mind-blowing of all. The American International School, Lagos. The school offers an American education program for students of all nationalities from preschool through 12th Grade.

The curriculum at the school is based on US national standards. Studying at AIS will set a parent back by N5.5 Million Naira for all the facilities and the phenomenal standard of education.
